Amends Section 27-43-3 of the Mississippi Code to revise the method of notifying property owners of expiration of the redemption period after tax sales.

Establishes three methods for sheriff service on resident owners: personal delivery, delivery to family member at usual place of abode, or posting on the property door.

Requires clerk to mail notice by registered or certified mail and publish notice in a newspaper at least 45 days before redemption period expires.

Increases sheriff's fee for serving notice from an unspecified amount to $35.00 per notice (applies to both initial and second notices).

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
