Amends Section 63-11-30 of Mississippi Code to allow imprisonment or confinement for second DUI violations to include house arrest by a private or public entity or inpatient treatment at an alcohol and drug rehabilitation center.

Expands sentencing options for second DUI offense (committed within 5 years) beyond traditional jail time to include supervised house arrest and rehabilitative treatment programs.

Maintains existing penalties for second DUI convictions including fines of $600-$1,500, community service of 10 days to 1 year, and 2-year driver's license suspension.

Becomes effective July 1, 2012.
