Prohibits trusty status offenders convicted of manslaughter under sections 97-3-27, 97-3-29, 97-3-31, 97-3-33, 97-3-35, 97-3-37, 97-3-45, or 97-3-47 from accumulating additional earned time reductions.

Prohibits trusty status offenders convicted of driving under the influence under section 63-11-30(5) from accumulating additional earned time reductions.

Amends section 47-5-138.1 of the Mississippi Code to add these two offense categories to the list of crimes that make offenders ineligible for trusty time allowances.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
