Amends Section 83-9-49 of Mississippi Code to prohibit abuse-related medical conditions from being classified as preexisting conditions in insurance policies delivered or issued on or after July 1, 2012.

Applies to group and individual hospital, health, medical expense insurance policies, and related insurance contracts issued in Mississippi.

Defines abuse-related medical conditions per Section 83-71-5(b) and exempts them from preexisting condition exclusions regardless of the 12-month lookback periods that normally apply.

Exempts hospital daily indemnity plans, specified disease policies, and other limited or supplemental benefit insurance policies from these requirements.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
