Requires public school teachers to have all pupils recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the United States flag at the start of each school day.

Mandates that local school boards provide and display a United States flag or replica in every classroom to be used during the pledge recitation.

Requires public schools to teach both the United States pledge and the Mississippi state pledge, which reads: "I salute the flag of Mississippi and the sovereign state for which it stands with pride in her history and achievements and with confidence in her future under the guidance of Almighty God."

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
