Requires local school boards to conduct an annual comprehensive evaluation of the school superintendent

Evaluations must be consistent with assessment components established by law covering governance, financial management, personnel management, facilities, food services, transportation, technology, and instructional programs

Evaluations must follow assessment benchmarks established by the Mississippi School Board Association

Superintendent evaluations must assess success in meeting district goals and objectives, leadership skills, establishment of appropriate performance standards, monitoring of success, and use of data for improvement

Effective date of July 1, 2012
