Authorizes Mississippi motor vehicle owners to purchase distinctive license tags identifying them as supporters of the Mississippi Damage Prevention Council upon payment of an additional $30.00 annual fee.

Tax collectors retain $2.00 from each additional fee for the county general fund, with the remaining amount remitted monthly to the Department of Revenue.

Each $30.00 fee is distributed as follows: $24.00 to the Mississippi Damage Prevention Council, $1.00 to the Mississippi Burn Care Fund, $2.00 to the State Highway Fund, and $1.00 to a special fund under Section 27-19-44.2.

Replacement distinctive license tags cost $10.00, with 5% retained by the tax collector for the county general fund and the remainder distributed according to the standard fee allocation.

Becomes effective July 1, 2012, and applies to registration years commencing on or after that date.
