Amends Section 17-2-7 to add an exception allowing counties and municipalities to enforce floodplain management ordinances necessary for National Flood Insurance Program eligibility, despite the general prohibition on enforcing building codes for farm structures.

Amends Section 17-2-9 to add an exception allowing counties and municipalities to enforce floodplain management ordinances necessary for National Flood Insurance Program eligibility, despite existing prohibitions on enforcing building codes for industrial facilities, fairground buildings, recreational structures, manufactured housing, and salvage lumber uses.

Effective upon passage.
