Allows school district employees to donate unused personal and sick leave to immediate family members employed in another school district who are suffering from catastrophic injury or illness.

Restricts leave donations within the same school district to employees with catastrophic injuries or illnesses, with donor employees retaining minimum 7 days of personal leave and donating no more than 50% of accumulated sick leave.

Requires recipient employees to exhaust all available leave before receiving donated leave and to provide a physician's statement documenting the catastrophic injury or illness and prognosis for recovery.

Unused donated leave is returned to donor employees on a pro rata basis if not fully utilized by the recipient.

Effective July 1, 2012.
