Commends and congratulates the Mississippi Valley State University Lady Devilettes Basketball Team and Head Coach Nate Kilbert for winning the Southwestern Athletic Conference (SWAC) tournament championship.

Recognizes the team's historic automatic berth to the Women's National Invitation Tournament (WNIT), the first postseason tournament appearance in the program's history, after defeating Texas Southern University 70-47 in the championship game.

Acknowledges the team's remarkable turnaround from losing their first eight games in November 2011 to finishing the season 14-4 in SWAC play and leading the conference in steals per game, assists per game, and free throw percentage.

Lists the 13-member roster including Ka'Neshia Smith, De'Kisha Fondon, Olivia Kennedy, and other players who contributed to the championship season.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Coach Kilbert, President Donna H. Oliver, the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, and the Capitol Press Corps.
