Commemorates the 100th anniversary of Mississippi Children's Home Services, celebrating its establishment on January 25, 1912, in Meridian before relocating to Jackson in 1913.

Recognizes Mississippi Children's Home Services as the largest and most comprehensive private nonprofit provider of social and behavioral health services in Mississippi, serving children and families from every county.

Acknowledges the organization's expansion from initial home finding and adoption services to a comprehensive continuum including psychiatric residential care, therapeutic foster care, substance abuse treatment, crisis shelter care, and family preservation services.

Commends Christopher M. Cherney, executive director for 33 years, for his leadership and the organization's receipt of numerous local, state, and national grants and awards from entities including the W.K. Kellogg Foundation, United Way, and the Child Welfare League of America.

Designates January 25, 2012, as Mississippi Children's Home Services Recognition Day and urges continued philanthropic support from Mississippi corporations, foundations, and individuals.
