Lafayette High School Commodores Football Team defeated Laurel 38-29 on December 3, 2011, to win the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 4A Championship.

Team completed a perfect 16-0 season and achieved their 32nd consecutive win with the championship victory.

Team received the Army National Guard national ranking trophy for the second consecutive year, ranking 130th out of 16,000 teams nationally.

Head Coach Anthony Hart and the Commodores are commended for bringing honor to their school, community, and the State of Mississippi.
