Commends Maxine Parrott Lindsey for her dedication and service to Mississippi and her community.

Recognizes Lindsey as the first commissioned African-American officer in the Mississippi Air National Guard (1976) and the first African American across all Mississippi National Guard branches to achieve the rank of lieutenant colonel, from which she retired in 1996 after 20 years of service.

Acknowledges her nursing career spanning from 1968 to present, including service as the first Occupational Health Nurse Administrator for the State of Mississippi Postal Division (1993).

Honors her founding of CNA Training Center, Inc. in May 2006, a nonprofit organization that has trained over 900 certified nursing assistants, with a second location opened in Itta Bena in January 2010.

Recognizes her numerous awards including the 2008 Outstanding Individual Award from the Jackson Medical Mall Foundation and 2009 nomination as one of the 50 leading business women of the year.
