Congratulates Thomas Patten of Poplarville, Mississippi, a Poplarville High School student, for being named a Distinguished Finalist in the 17th Annual 2012 Prudential Spirit of Community Awards.

Recognizes Patten's volunteer service through his "Luggage for Little Ones" program, which collects luggage for foster children to use when transferred to new homes instead of trash bags.

Notes that Patten collected over 220 pieces of luggage in his most recent drive with assistance from volunteer recruits who posted flyers and placed collection bins in local stores.

Honors Patten as a role model youth volunteer whose dedication exemplifies the importance of community service and leadership among America's youth.
