Commends and congratulates Kimbrely Dandridge of Como, Mississippi, upon her historic election as the first African-American Associated Student Body President of the University of Mississippi.

Notes that Dandridge's election occurs 50 years after James Meredith became the first African-American student to enroll at Ole Miss in 1962, and symbolizes substantial progress in racial reconciliation at the university.

Recognizes Dandridge as a junior journalism and sociology dual major who won the ASB President election with 52.7 percent of the vote.

Directs copies of the resolution to be provided to Dandridge, University Chancellor Dan Jones, the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, and the Capitol Press Corps.
