Commends Gerald Glass of Greenwood, Mississippi, for his basketball career as a player at Delta State University and University of Mississippi, and as a professional with the NBA and international teams.

Recognizes Glass's college achievements including leading Delta State to the Division II Final Four in 1987, scoring 53 points against LSU in 1989, and leading Ole Miss to the SEC Championship Tournament Finals before entering the 1990 NBA draft.

Acknowledges Glass's NBA career with the Minnesota Timberwolves, Detroit Pistons, New Jersey Nets, and Charlotte Hornets, plus his Continental Basketball Association and overseas professional play in Israel, Spain, and Italy.

Honors Glass's coaching accomplishments as head coach of Amanda Elzy High School Boys' Panthers Basketball Team, including leading the team to the MHSAA state championship game with a 56-47 victory over Corinth High School.

Directs copies of the resolution be furnished to Gerald Glass and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
