Commends the Meridian High School Academic Team for winning the Faber Classic, a pre-qualifier tournament for the National Academic Quiz Tournaments hosted by St. Andrew's Episcopal School in Ridgeland, Mississippi.

Team won the championship final in overtime with senior Manpreet Singh answering the winning question; team comprised of seniors Pieter Both, Daniel May, and Manpreet Singh, and sophomores Christopher Cross, Scott Ellis, and Pearson Kelly.

Senior Daniel May served as team captain, providing leadership to help the team achieve its tournament goals.

Five current Mississippi House representatives are Meridian High School alumni: Cecil Brown (1962), Greg Snowden (1972), Charles Young Jr. (1980), Adrienne Wooten (1992), and Toby Barker (2000).

Directs that copies of the resolution be furnished to Meridian High School and the Capitol Press Corps.
