Commends and congratulates the Charleston High School Lady Tigers Powerlifting Team for winning the Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 3A State Powerlifting Championship for the third consecutive year in the 2011-2012 season.

Team lifted a combined total of 8,380 pounds and accumulated 48 team points, defeating second-place South Pike (36 points) and other competing teams.

Individual honors included three first-place finishers, three second-place finishers, two third-place finishers, and three fourth-place finishers, with Tashania Weekly setting a new state meet weight class record of 730 pounds in the 132-pound division.

Head Coach Jeff Hollingsworth and Assistant Coach Wayne Mayhan are recognized for their leadership; the Lady Tigers program holds five state championships, two state runner-up finishes, and three consecutive North Powerlifting Meet Championships.

Directs copies of the resolution to be furnished to Charleston High School, both coaches, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
