Commends and congratulates Granville Freeman, a 65-year-old native of Morton, Mississippi, for winning the 2011 World Grand Championship Amateur Rider of the Year title.

Freeman and his wife, Diane, have attended horse shows in Tennessee for over 30 years, winning numerous championship titles with their prize-winning horses.

In 2011, Freeman competed as a rider for the first time and won the World Grand Championship Amateur of the Year title in his first year of showing.

Freeman is a former Lake High School football coach, graduate of East Central Community College, University of Southern Mississippi, Southeastern Louisiana University, and Jackson State University, and has owned an independent State Farm Insurance Agency in Forest since 1981.

Directs the House to furnish copies of this resolution to Freeman and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
