Commends Calvin Windell Huey, a native of Pascagoula, Mississippi, for his accomplishments as a student and athlete at the United States Naval Academy.

Recognizes Huey's achievement in becoming one of the first African-American midshipmen at Annapolis during the Civil Rights era, obtaining a Naval Academy appointment through a California congressman after a Mississippi congressman denied his request.

Acknowledges Huey's dual success as an honorable mention All-American quarterback and receiver who played alongside Roger Staubach, and as an accomplished student who later earned a Ph.D. in Chemistry.

Notes Huey's subsequent career as a Naval Academy professor beginning in 1973 and employment with IBM from 1976 to 1997, and his service including two tours of duty in Vietnam.

Directs distribution of the resolution to Huey, the United States Naval Academy, and the Capitol Press Corps.
