Commends and congratulates the Our Lady Academy Crescents soccer team and Head Coach Andie Thornton for winning the 2012 Mississippi High School Activities Association Class 1A/2A/3A girls soccer state championship.

Team defeated Clarkdale High School Bulldogs 5-0 in the championship game played on rain-soaked fields at Clinton High School in Clinton, Mississippi.

Crescents achieved their third consecutive state championship title and tenth state soccer championship in 13 years with a season record of 19-3-3 and a seventh-place state ranking overall.

Team roster includes 27 named athletes who demonstrated dedication, sportsmanship, and a winning cooperative spirit throughout the 2011-2012 season.

Directs distribution of resolution copies to Head Coach Thornton, Principal Tiffany Lindmark, and members of the Capitol Press Corps.
