Amends Section 33-4-1 of the Mississippi Code to expand the use of the Mississippi Military Family Relief Fund to include families residing in a Presidential Declared Disaster area.

Fund may now provide grants to families experiencing financial hardship when a military family member is mobilized and deployed under Title 10 USC active duty service OR when the family resides in a Presidential Declared Disaster area.

Fund consists of deposits from any source including state appropriations and private contributions, with unexpended amounts and interest earnings remaining in the fund at fiscal year-end rather than lapsing to the General Fund.

The Adjutant General maintains authority to establish eligibility requirements and grant amounts through rule-making.

Effective upon passage.
