Authorizes World War II veterans who are Mississippi legal residents to obtain one distinctive motor vehicle license plate annually for private passenger vehicles or pickup trucks.

Exempts vehicles owned by World War II veterans from all motor vehicle registration fees, privilege taxes, and ad valorem taxation.

Allows unmarried surviving spouses of deceased World War II veterans who received the distinctive license tag to apply for or retain the tag and renew registration annually, provided they file a sworn statement of unmarried status.

Requires proof of World War II veteran status through a certificate from the State Veterans Affairs Board at time of application for the distinctive license plate.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
