Amends Mississippi Code Section 95-9-1 to expand the definition of "qualified volunteer" to include those who donate food without compensation in connection with volunteer activities.

Adds "food service organization for the needy" to the definition of "volunteer agency" eligible for tort liability exemptions.

Maintains existing protections that shield qualified volunteers from civil liability for personal injury or property damage caused by acts or omissions committed in good faith.

Preserves exceptions to volunteer immunity for intentional, willful, wanton, reckless, or grossly negligent acts, and for negligent operation of motor vehicles, aircraft, boats, or powered conveyances.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
