Expands the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Death Benefits Trust Fund to include emergency management agency personnel, providing $65,000 payments when covered individuals are killed or fatally injured in the line of duty.

Expands the Law Enforcement Officers and Fire Fighters Disability Benefits Trust Fund to include emergency management agency personnel, providing monthly disability payments equal to 34% of regular base salary for up to 12 months when injured in the line of duty.

Defines "emergency management agency personnel" as persons performing emergency management functions for health and safety in Mississippi who are employed by state or federally authorized emergency management agencies.

Requires the Department of Public Safety to manage the death benefits trust fund and the Attorney General's office to manage the disability benefits trust fund, with authority to adopt implementing regulations.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
