Increases the acreage of land that boards of supervisors may purchase or lease to establish highway workstations from an unspecified amount to ten (10) acres per station.

Limits the use of eminent domain to acquire land for highway workstations to no more than two (2) acres, regardless of the total acreage needed.

Applies different provisions based on county type: exempts counties from Section 19-2-3 requirements versus counties operating under a countywide road administration system.

For countywide system counties, requires that road repair and maintenance facilities be located only on county-owned land, leased land, or sixteenth section school lands.

Takes effect July 1, 2012.
