Amends Mississippi Code sections 73-65-1, 73-65-3, 73-65-5, and 73-65-7 to clarify standards for licensed professional art therapists established by the Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc.

Requires applicants for licensure to be registered art therapists and board certified art therapists as defined by the Art Therapy Credentials Board, Inc., and to pass the Art Therapy Credentials Board Examination.

Deletes previous statutory educational requirements for professional art therapists and removes grandfather provisions allowing registration from the American Art Therapy Association before 1980.

Updates the Professional Art Therapists Advisory Council definition to include "consumers or consumers' family members" of art therapy services.

Effective date is July 1, 2012.
