Removes the Mississippi Wireless Communication Commission's authority to approve all wireless communications systems owned or operated by local government entities.

Modifies Section 25-53-171 to limit commission sign-off approval to wireless communications systems owned or operated by state entities, agencies, or departments only.

Explicitly states that nothing in the section shall regulate or oversee local government entities' wireless communications systems.

Maintains the commission's authority over state-level wireless infrastructure, system planning, interoperability standards, and the statewide communications system for public safety personnel.

Takes effect upon passage.
