Amends Section 99-5-39 to authorize the parole board or court to order posting of a bond as a condition of parole or early release to secure defendant appearance at subsequent parole or court proceedings.

Bond shall be filed by a licensed bail agent with the parole board, court, or sheriff, who must provide a copy to the court clerk.

Parole board or court may issue orders sua sponte or upon notice from parole/probation officer that a person violated parole or early release terms, requiring defendant appearance with minimum 72-hour notice to bail agent.

Bond forfeiture occurs only if defendant fails to appear; procedures follow Section 99-5-25 requirements.

Effective July 1, 2012; amends Section 47-7-17 to authorize the parole board to require bond posting as a condition of parole or early release.
