Appropriates $75,000 from the State General Fund to Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College for motion picture industry workforce training during fiscal year 2013 (July 1, 2012 - June 30, 2013)

Training program to be provided in coordination with the Mississippi Film Office and the Mississippi Film and Television Employment Training Initiative

Legislature intends to expand the training program through on-the-job training with permanent and visiting film productions, production internships, partnerships with community colleges and universities, and educational seminars at film festivals

Funds to be paid by the State Treasurer upon warrants issued by the State Fiscal Officer

Act takes effect July 1, 2012
