Amends Chapter 943 of Local and Private Laws of 1979 to authorize the Recreation Commission of Yazoo City and Yazoo County to compensate commission members with a per diem for official duties.

Commission members may receive per diem payments not to exceed $50.00 per month for each day or portion thereof spent performing official duties.

The commission is composed of 12 members appointed by the city governing authorities (5 members), county board of supervisors (5 members), and municipal and county school boards (1 member each).

The city is authorized to levy up to 4 mills annually and the county up to 2 mills annually for constructing, supporting, and maintaining parks and recreational facilities.

Commission has authority over budget, employee management, facility operations, insurance, purchasing, and quarterly reporting to governing authorities and the county board.
