Legislature shall not meet on the third Monday of January, the legal holiday honoring Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.'s birthday

New Capitol Building shall be closed on that date except for ceremonial purposes arranged to honor Dr. King

Legislative, gubernatorial, and other Capitol Building employees shall not be required to work on the holiday, except for necessary security and maintenance personnel

Copies of the resolution shall be forwarded to the Secretary of State, Director of the Bureau of Capitol Facilities, and the Governor
