Brandon High School "Lady Bulldogs" Girls Soccer Team won the MHSAA Class 6A State Championship on February 4, 2012, defeating top-ranked and previously unbeaten Tupelo 1-0.

The championship was the first-ever state title in school history for the third-ranked Lady Bulldogs, who finished the season with a record of 20-2-3.

Katelyn Watson scored the game's only goal in the 55th minute on a corner kick from senior midfielder Lauren Quintero, against a Tupelo team that had allowed just seven goals all season.

Coach Celeste Bramlett, a 1998 Brandon graduate, led the team with the motto "Take it," emphasizing the team's commitment to winning rather than just competing.

The resolution commends the team, coach, parents, and sponsors, and directs the resolution be presented to Coach Bramlett and Principal Buddy Bailey.
