Recognizes the DuBard School for Language Disorders at the University of Southern Mississippi on its 50th anniversary of serving children with severe communication disorders.

School was founded in 1962 by Dr. Etoile DuBard and now serves over 500 children annually through enrollment, outpatient therapy, and evaluation services.

Full-time program enrolls 80 children with language-speech disorders and hearing impairments from approximately 20 public school districts in 15 counties.

School is the national center for the DuBard Association Method, a phonetic multisensory teaching approach, and provides professional development to educators and speech-language pathologists nationwide.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Dr. Maureen Martin (Director), Dr. Martha D. Saunders (University President), the Board of Trustees of State Institutions of Higher Learning, and the Capitol Press Corps.
