Commends Callaway High School "Chargers" boys basketball team and Head Coach Wayne Brent for winning the MHSAA Class 5A State Championship on March 3, 2012, defeating Wayne County 54-44.

Recognizes this as the team's third state championship in four years (also won in 2009 and 2010) and their No. 1 ranking by The Clarion-Ledger for the second time in four years.

Notes the team compiled a 24-6 record and played 27 of 30 games against teams ranked in The Clarion-Ledger's Top 10 poll, including victories against all 10 Dandy Dozen players they faced.

Highlights key players TreShawn Bolden (16 points, 9 rebounds) and Malik Newman (12 points) in the championship victory, with Coach Brent achieving a 119-45 record in five seasons at Callaway High School.

Directs presentation of the resolution to Coach Brent and Principal Clyde Speaks, with copies to the Jackson School Board and Capitol Press Corps.
