Recognizes Samantha Golden of Meridian as the 38th Miss Rodeo Mississippi 2012, selected on January 14, 2012.

Golden will represent Mississippi at Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association (PRCA) events statewide and internationally for one year and compete for Miss Rodeo America 2013 in Las Vegas, Nevada in December 2012.

2010 honors graduate of Northeast Lauderdale High School currently pursuing a Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting at Mississippi State University, with plans to earn a Master's degree and become a Therapeutic Equine Specialist.

Competed extensively in junior high and high school rodeo associations (NLBRA, NBHA, RHHSA, MSLBRA) and won multiple championships and titles in barrel racing, pole bending, goat tying, and breakaway competitions, plus two-time National Wrangler Top Hand Team selection.

Extends best wishes to Golden as she serves as Ambassador for Mississippi in national and international PRCA events.
