Recognizes and salutes Northwest Mississippi Community College Head Softball Coach Mike Rowan on his induction into the Mississippi Community and Junior College Sports Hall of Fame on April 24, 2012.

Rowan was a two-sport athlete at Northwest from 1975-1977, lettering in both football and baseball, and was inducted into the Northwest Sports Hall of Fame in 1997.

As quarterback under Coach A.J. Kilpatrick, Rowan led the Rangers to a 14-7-1 record with two state playoff appearances, including a 9-2 sophomore season.

As Head Softball Coach since 2004, Rowan compiled a 223-106 record through the 2011 season with North Division titles in 2007 and 2009, earning his 200th career victory in 2010.

Requests the resolution be presented to Coach Rowan and the President of Northwest Mississippi Community College, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
