Recognizes and congratulates the Gulfport Galleria of Fine Art on its 5th anniversary of success following Hurricane Katrina's devastation.

Founded by Mary Anne Barkley and the late Kathy McCall with grand opening in June 2007, the Gallery is a nonprofit cooperative of artists, craftsmen, and writers providing exhibition space for 35 artists.

Relocated from the Historic Kassis Grocery Building to 1401 23rd Avenue in Historic Downtown Gulfport, featuring paintings, photography, sculptures, pottery, jewelry, glass art, and literary works.

Provides community outreach through workshops, demonstrations, and exhibits that showcase artistic and musical talents while raising cultural awareness on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.

Resolution to be presented to Mary Anne Barkley (Chairwoman), forwarded to Gulfport City Council, and distributed to Capitol Press Corps.
