Honors Hodges' career as a Broadway and film actor, including his role in the 1960 film "The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn" and his performance in Frank Sinatra's "High Hopes" from the 1959 film "A Hole in the Head."

Notes Hodges' recording career, including his 1961 hit "I'm Gonna Knock On Your Door" which peaked at No. 12 in the United States, and his work as a songwriter and music publisher before leaving the entertainment industry.

Acknowledges Hodges' return to Mississippi in 1973 and his career as a mental health counselor and director of a mental health clinic in Collins, Mississippi.

Directs that the resolution be presented to Eddie Hodges and historian Clyde Lindley, forwarded to the Mississippi Arts Commission, and made available to the Capitol Press Corps.
