HB 1027 Summary

• Prohibits the Division of Medicaid from requiring community mental health centers to participate in managed care programs, coordinated care programs, coordinated care organization programs, health maintenance organization programs, patient-centered medical home programs, or accountable care organization programs as a condition of receiving Medicaid reimbursement.

• Extends the repealer date for Section 43-13-117 from July 1, 2013, to July 1, 2014.

• Allows community mental health centers to continue receiving Medicaid reimbursement for their services on a fee-for-service basis outside of managed care arrangements.

• Takes effect July 1, 2013.
