State Department of Education must conduct at least one meeting per year in each of Mississippi's 152 school districts to inform the public of new state and federal laws, and new State Board of Education regulations and policies affecting education.

State Superintendent of Public Education must appoint a committee of department employees organized by bureau and region to stay informed of legislative changes and board policies for presenting at district meetings.

Meetings must be conducted between sine die of the Mississippi Legislature and December 31 each year, with the first meeting in each district no later than July 1.

Department may conduct meetings via electronic media transmitted to a public forum in the school district rather than in-person.

Department must coordinate meeting schedules with each school district's board and superintendent.
