Amends Section 17-25-25 to require property acquired through the Rural Fire Truck Acquisition Assistance Program and Supplementary Rural Fire Truck Acquisition Assistance Program must first be offered to other Mississippi governing authorities or state agencies before being offered to federal agencies or out-of-state entities.

Mandates that any property acquired through either fire truck program must be sold at public sale for fair market value.

Amends Section 31-7-13(m)(vi) to clarify that fire truck acquisition program property is exempt from the intergovernmental sales and transfers exception, requiring public sale at fair market value instead of negotiated private sales.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
