Expands the definition of "unlawful activity" that school officials must report to local law enforcement to include acts of violence resulting in injuries that require a call to emergency service responders for medical attention

Adds a new duty for school superintendents to notify local law enforcement of any violent act committed by students or adults on school property or during school-related activities when emergency medical services are called

Requires reporting regardless of the location of the school-related activity and regardless of whether the perpetrator is a student or adult

Principals, teachers, and other school employees who have knowledge of such incidents must report to the superintendent, who then notifies law enforcement

Effective date of July 1, 2013
