Amends Section 63-9-21 of the Mississippi Code to permit law enforcement officers to file traffic tickets electronically instead of requiring printed, bound ticket books.

Electronic tickets must conform in all substantive respects to uniform ticket requirements, including layout and content, as prescribed by the Commissioner of Public Safety and Attorney General.

Law enforcement officers filing tickets electronically are deemed to have certified, signed, and sworn to the ticket with the same rights, responsibilities, and liabilities as officers using traditional printed tickets.

Defendants must receive a paper copy of electronically filed tickets, and electronic ticket information must be available for public inspection in the same manner as traditional uniform tickets.

Effective date is July 1, 2013.
