MS HB1218

Amends Mississippi Code Section 27-65-103 to add honey bees and apiary products to the list of agricultural products exempt from sales tax.

Includes honey bees in the exemption for sales by producers of livestock and other farm products sold in original condition before further processing.

Adds honey bees to the exemption for retail sales of livestock and to the exemption for antibiotics, hormones, drugs, and other medications used in production of livestock and poultry.

Includes honey as a food product exempt from sales tax when grown, made, or processed in Mississippi and sold from certified farmers' markets.

Effective July 1, 2013.
