Mississippi Transportation Commission authorized to donate two small parcels of real property (totaling 0.004 acres/200 square feet) located in Madison County to the City of Canton, with the state retaining all mineral rights.

Deletes the existing segment of Mississippi 16 between U.S. 51 and U.S. 43 in Canton from the state highway system and returns jurisdiction to the City of Canton's Mayor and Board of Aldermen.

Adds a newly constructed highway segment between U.S. 51 and U.S. 43 in Canton to the state highway system, designated as Mississippi 16, under Mississippi Transportation Commission jurisdiction.

Mississippi Transportation Commission assumes responsibility for construction and maintenance of the new Mississippi 16 segment.

Effective date: July 1, 2013.
