Prohibits radar speed detection equipment from being used within 1,000 feet of posted notice points where the speed limit is reduced by 10 or more miles per hour on state or federal highways.

Maintains existing exceptions allowing municipal law enforcement in cities with 2,000+ residents to use radar on public streets within their municipalities.

Maintains existing exceptions allowing college and university campus police with 2,000+ enrolled students to use radar on campus.

Maintains existing exceptions allowing municipal law enforcement in cities with 15,000+ residents to use radar on federally designated highways within city limits.

Takes effect July 1, 2013.
