Amends Section 97-35-18 of Mississippi Code to change disruptive funeral protest from misdemeanor to felony offense.

Increases maximum fine from $500 to $5,000 for protesting or picketing within 1,000 feet of a funeral service, graveside service, memorial service, or funeral ceremony with intent to disrupt.

Changes imprisonment penalty from county jail (not more than 6 months) to Department of Corrections custody (not less than 1 year nor more than 5 years).

Removes enhanced penalties for second or subsequent violations that previously classified them as gross misdemeanors.

Allows courts to issue injunctions against prohibited conduct and awards damages including attorney fees to surviving family members harmed by violations; effective July 1, 2013.
