Amends Section 37-9-39 of the Mississippi Code to authorize local school boards to pay licensed teaching personnel on a biweekly or monthly basis upon a majority vote of board members.

Establishes a minimum payment frequency of once per month for all school employees.

Requires December salaries or wages to be paid on December 15 or the next business day thereafter.

Specifies that employees whose employment ends during a school term receive payment only for work actually performed.

Effective July 1, 2013.
