Liquefied petroleum gas or compressed gas containers purchased before July 1, 2011, are exempt from labeling and identification requirements under Mississippi law.

Dealers and suppliers may sell, install, fill, refill, or deliver pre-2011 containers regardless of original purchaser, provided the container owner authorizes such actions.

Amendments to sections 75-57-9, 75-57-35, and 75-57-105 add exemption language stating the labeling exemption applies except where otherwise provided in Section 1.

Section 75-57-105 is amended to prohibit the State Liquefied Compressed Gas Board from enacting regulations that conflict with the exemption provided in the act.

The act takes effect upon passage.
